Well, the reason I started this blog was to share with the world my experiences (good and bad) in affiliate marketing and in life. Thats the plan, we’ll see how it pans out!

To give you a bit of background info on me….

My names Mark Boyd (Im sure you never would have guessed!) and I live in Aberdeen, Scotland. Im currently studying Management with Marketing at RGU. I’m in my fourth year, so working hard on my thesis. Im originally form Linlithgow, West Lothian. I stay in the city centre of Aberdeen with @notjimmycarr.

I started dabbling into Affiliate Marketing in the summer of 2005 when I came across a process called matched betting. I then created a small site with tutorials on how to make guaranteed profit from matched betting. It all stemmed from there and today I have many sites in many sectors, and the profits pay my way through university.

For the majority of this year I’ve been focussing my attentions on some direct to merchant ppc as opposed to making actual sites. Now that I feel I’ve got enough experience in that I’m back working on some mini sites and a few larger projects.

I am currently working on a joint venture with Ex-Dragon Investor @DouglasRichard of SchoolForStartups.co.uk and @ShaaWasmund of Smarta.com

My Hobbies

• Love travelling. Not sure where’s next. Hoping to goto Florida when I graduate!
• Love going to see bands live.
• I love learning about online marketing (geeeeek!). I find it fascinating learning about SEO, PPC, Link Building etc. It will never get old for me.
• Like most Scottish males, I love football! My teams are Falkirk FC and Liverpool FC. No slagging off Falkirk please!
